BERLIN, Germany, March 11, 2019/ — A Federal Foreign Office Spokesperson issued the following statement today (11 March, 10.15 a.m.) on yesterday’s plane crash in Ethiopia:
The Federal Foreign Office regrets to confirm that, according to the information available to us at the present time, five German nationals were among the victims of the plane crash in Ethiopia.
The Federal Foreign Office and the relevant German missions are in contact with their families.

Today we heard the terrible news of the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines aircraft heading to Nairobi, which claimed the lives of so many. At this difficult time, our thoughts are with the victims’ families and loved ones, to whom I would like to convey my deepest sympathy.
