While disclosing this on Sunday August 16, 2020, the Ministry of Health stated that the new cases have increased the Kingdom’s tally to 298,542. Of the new cases, 62 were recorded in Riyadh, 57 in Jazan, 57 in Jeddah, 56 in Makkah and 36 in Madinah. The health ministry said 39 more patients died from the COVID-19 disease, bringing the country’s death toll to 3,408.
