The Vatican and south Sudan to exchange envoys

The republic of South Sudan and the Vatican have resolved to establish diplomatic relationship.
According to the Catholic Church in South Sudan, desirous of promoting bonds of mutual friendship, the country and the Vatican have resolved to establish diplomatic relations.
The Vatican will soon send an envoy at the level of Apostolic Nuncia like it has done with most of the countries where there are Catholics.
In response, the republic of South Sudan will establish an embassy in the Vatican which is located in Rome.
Catholics in South Sudan are excited about the development. They believe that their religion will prosper fast now that it has representative from the Holy see.
A Catholic lay leader in Juba, John Loi said, ‘We are happy about the development. It will make our church stronger.’
