Real Madrid beats Juventus, retains UEFA champion

Real Madrid made history as it became on Saturday the first team to retain UEFA Champions League cup twice by defeating Juventus with 4 – 1 with Christiano Ronaldo scoring two goals.

“We’re very happy to be the first team to win the Champions League in two consecutive years,” said Ronaldo, who has now scored exactly 600 goals for club and country over the course of his extraordinary career.

The team’s coach, Zinedine Zidane, said that his players really deserve the victory as they had always been showing exceptional preparedness for matches throughout the league. As the world is really excited over this winning of Real Madrid, Zidane too expresses joy as he joined his team to celebrate their success.

“I finished the season very well. It is another record, a record that these players deserve and we are delighted,” he said.

“It’s a tremendous joy for the players and for this immense club. I am happy because it is not easy to win things like La Liga and the Champions League and this year we did it with hard work and desire,” he added

Victory crowned a glorious season for Madrid that pulled off a La Liga and European Cup double for the first time since 1958, having also won the Club World Cup and European Super Cup.

As Sergio Ramos was presented with the trophy,  the excitement was great for the players, they were seen surrounding him celebrating their win. This is a great compensation for the stress and troubles that they must have been confronted by during the long season.

Cristiano Ronaldo added another feather to his cap with his twin goal during the final.  Perhaps,  now is the time to ask: will Ronaldo go home with the Ballon D ‘ Or Award this year?
