The pattern to the path of starting all over again has a code and criteria, we have looked at two of the main criteria of getting forgiveness granted and in this article we shall continue with the rest, God willing.

The gravest mistake that you can ever do against yourself is calling mistake a mistake and not learning from the same mistake, meaning if you err you must correct the err by not falling into the same trap.

Regret and repent, regret and seek forgiveness for regretting is repentance in and of itself but it is not so much of a repentance if these below mentioned points are not following

Intend not to do it again

Yes, we do take vows and we promise that we are not going to do it. But it should be as sincere as it can get, you should imagine yourself not doing it till your last breath, you might do soon after you talk to yourself but the good thing is your Lord knows your heart and He was there with you when you were sincerely planning to cut doing that particular sin from your life, relax and repent from it if you catch yourself doing it but sincerity is key, keep falling as long as you can stand up and start all over it again.

Erase it with good deeds

And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.” (Quran: 11,114)

Hearts die from too much of sinning but just like the way a drought stricken land gets back to life after rain hits it, your heart’s rain are the good deeds you do after you have been sinning. Sins do damage your heart by being like a black spots that will eventually cover up the whole area but Allah is the most merciful to His servants so for every good deed you do you get sins erased from your account.

And the most beautiful thing is that your sincerity not to go back to a sin or your ignorance of a sin you have been doing can earn you to get all the bad to be turned to good after you repent from doing it.

In Ramadan, there are special times to take advantage of to see forgiveness and the time before the dawn (suhoor) is the ideal time to get your pages refreshed every single day.

May Allah (saw) forgive us all and may He guide us to seek forgiveness from Him, Ameen.

Wa salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
