Chelsea eyes former Barcelona coach, prepares club ahead of Conte’s exit
All seem prepared at Stamford Bridge, to bear whatever eventual decision reached by the club’s coach, as the club eyes Lius Enrique. There are speculations that Conte may exit the club anytime as a result of his indecision and delay in signing another contract with the club.
Also, there are indications that the former Barcelona manager, Lius Enrique may take over if Conte should sign out. “According to the Daily Telegraph”, Vanguard Newspaper reports that “Enrique would be one of the first names on their list. However, “reports elsewhere have also thrown up former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel as an option.”
Meanwhile, Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has again assured fans of Nigeria’s qualification at the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon. He urged them not see their last match loss to South Africa as complete ill luck, rather as a motivation to brace up to the challenge of the game. He noted that intensified training must continue on their side, hoping that Mikel Obi, Moses and other senior players would have returned before their next encounter.
“we still have five more games to determine our fate. Nigerians should continue to give us the desired support and we will definitely excel.”
“I just see it as a motivation. We have to work extra hard. For South Africa we will still play them at their home. We have a young team that plays really well. We were all shocked about the loss. By the time we play the other games in the group, we will see.”
“We just have to keep training and remain focused. I don’t think anyone will take it lightly. Our midfielders, Mikel, Moses and other senior players will have returned from injury by then. I think we will be ready for Cameroon.”
