By way of helping victims of the Grenfell Tower fire accident, donations have been made while more pledges are coming in from well meaning individuals and organisations under London Enterprise Trust (LET). A sum of £ 20,000 has been published as token to be given out to each family affected by the disaster that led to the death of about 79 people died.

David Holdsworth has disclosed that this grant this time, to victims, is only a way to support and to ease Victims’ devastating state of affairs.

“This collaboration, along with the first immediate distribution of funds from public donations, will help ensure clear, easy access to the help and support that those affected by this devastating tragedy so urgently need.”

“They can never heal what has happened but will hopefully provide some help to those suffering at this most difficult time.”

Chief executive Michael Adamson said: “No amount of money can take away the pain of the past eight days, but for people who have lost everything we hope it will help towards rebuilding their lives.”

While giving his words of assurance, Gerald Oppenheim, chair of the London Emergencies Trust (LET), noted that the donation will be made without having to place any restrictions whoever benefits.

“Anyone who qualifies for a LET award, and who makes a valid claim, will be paid irrespective of nationality, circumstance or any other factor.”

The chief executive, Russell Delew, also reiterated the organisation’s commitment in assisting the victims from such rage.

“We’re here for the long term, and are proud to be part of the collaborative effort to help those affected,” he added.
