Comoros marks 42nd year of independence

History reminds us that in 1973 France and the Comoros sat and agreed on Comoros independence. The product of that seating, today, is what we call freedom day celebration in Comoros. July 6th has been set aside to celebrate this day in the country’s regular calendar.

As Comoros celebrate her 42nd year Independence anniversary, today, 6th of July, the United States has extended her warm regards in form of goodwill message to Comoros and her people. This is contained in a press release from the U.S. Department of State, wishing Comoros a wonderful time out.

According to the report published and distributed by APO, America with the rest of the world sends Best wishes to the people of Comoros as they celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, 6th of July.

“The American people value our long and warm relationship with Comoros and its people. We reaffirm our commitment to continuing our joint efforts to strengthen democratic institutions, advance regional peace and security, and promote economic opportunity.”

Following their reinstatement of zeal and support for Comoros, America further disclosed their strong anticipation for more corporation.

As contained in the release, America said “We look forward to further cooperation and friendship over the coming years.”
