Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman desired to end the surge between Yemen and Saudi Arabia in the course with formal US officials.

On August 15, 2017 according to some of officials the emails were leaked which showed his interest to end conflict

It is stated in leaked emails published by Middle East Eye that Muhammad bin Salman told, “I want out of the two-year war.

“I started in Yemen. I am not against US rapprochement with Iran.”

The declaration threw light on the philosophy of Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the 31-year-old heir to the Saudi throne.

It is noted that the exchanged emails were revealed by Martin Indyk, the former US ambassador in Israel and Yousef al-Otaiba, the UAE’s ambassador in Washington, DC.

Indyk said, “It is quite clear to me and Hadley (Steven Hadley, who served as US national security adviser during George W Bush’s presidency) that Muhammad is OK with the US engaging Iran as long as it is co-ordinated in advance and the objectives are clear.”

Saad Jawad, a political science professor at the London School of Economics, said, “If Saudi Arabia is in a dispute with Qatar about Qatar’s relationship with Iran … how could they ask the Iraqis to amend their relations with Iran?

“The Saudis know very well that Iraq is a little bit biased in its relations with the Iranians, and they are under the influence of the Iranians.”
