Hospital lift cuts mother into halves

ITV News report the unfortunate incident of a 26 year old Rocio Cortes Nuñez, who recently gave birth to her third child but will not live further as she lost her life in an incident within the hospital. It was reported that the young mother was “cut in half” by the hospital lift.

According to ITV News, ‘it is stated that the lift at the Virgen del Valme hospital in Seville started moving upwards before the stretcher was fully inside.’ However, her baby ‘who was with her at the time, is said to be unharmed’ and alive.

Investigations to ascertain the mystery behind the incident is currently ongoing. Andalucia Health Counsellor Maria Alvarez, in the report by ITV confirmed that there will be an investigation into the tragedy.

“The patient was being moved, she was accompanied by a health worker and she was about to exit from the elevator.

“An unusual movement of the elevator happened.”

According to her, ‘it was too early to say exactly what went wrong but an investigation into the tragedy would now take place.’ Therefore, conclusions will be drawn only after thorough investigations have been made.

Meanwhile, it is equally reported by The Independent News that NASA is planning to make oxygen from the atmosphere on Mars when its next robot arrives on the mysterious red planet in 2020. 

The aim, around science ‘is to feed the microorganisms in Martian soil in the hope that they will pump out oxygen as a byproduct.’ Therefore, ‘scientists will send microbial life – possibly algae or bacteria – on the 2020 Rover mission in a bid to create air fit for human consumption.’
