The growth and spread of Islam in the Latino
community in the U.S.A., Caribbean and South America
within the last fifty years is amazing, I bear witness to this
awaking of Islam from the U.S.A. to Tierra del Fuego, at
the time we have brothers and sister educating themselves
overseas learning Arabic, Fiqh, from different schools and
we need to learn on how to deal with the average citizen
and their culture, we have beautiful examples from the
Indonesians that we need to look at and examine for the
benefits of the Muslims in our communities, we have
gotten much help from our families in Spain with
translations of all Islamic materials.
Today we have a vibrant brotherhood that stretches
worldwide and we are experiencing an Islamic

renaissance in spite of all the islamophobia that we are
experiencing at the moment, the Latino Muslims in
U.S.A., and the Caribbean are educated school teachers,
Lawyers, Doctors and Politicians and we involve
ourselves in service to the community at large. We have
the honor to have our dear brother Haji Wilfredo Amr
Ruiz (Analista Internacional) international analyst that
keeps the Latino Muslim community informed of the
political, world conditions of the Islamic community. We
need more brothers and sisters like him we are graceful to
have him.
Now is the time to put all of our professions to work
for the betterment of our community. At this time that
we have a problem in Houston, Texas (hurricane

disaster) and he is seeking help from the Latino
Muslim community which is a vibrant community in
helping our fellow Muslims and non-Muslims.

There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the
religion. The right course has become clear from the
wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and
believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy
handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing
and Knowing.

We need to be counted among the helpers of Allah for
humanity and for our fellow Americans that need the
help of their fellow citizens and most of the Latino
community needs to step forward and be counted in
providing help to our beloved family in Texas.
At this time we are going through some hard times, as
Muslim we should ask Allah’s for His mercy upon all
mankind and upon all people from Houston, we ask

our brothers and sisters to donate to reliable
foundations like (Islamic Relief
U.S.A.) and this is
the efforts of the Muslim Latino community in
America, across the country we are ready to help our
fellow citizens regardless of religion, this is what
Islam stands for helping humanity, Allah’s creation.
