MCRN correspondent in Nigeria recently gathered that three suspects have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over last Sunday’s assassination of Hector Oluwaseun Jobarteh, winner of the 2006 Gulder Ultimate Search, GUS, reality TV, Season 3.

According to the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, three persons are being interrogated over the killing of Jobarteh, a father of one, who was reportedly trailed to his house and shot dead.

On the entertainment scene, Hector Joberteh, winner of the 2006 edition of Gulder Ultimate Search, according to a report on the Cable News Post, was reportedly shot dead at his residence in New Oko-Oba, area of Lagos State.

The reason behind the murder is unknown but ‘close friends of the ex-reality show star reportedly said he was trailed from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, where he had gone to pick up a relative,’ on the unfortunate day.

Facebook user, Oluwatosin Van Phillips Genesis, gave a similar account – about how Hector who married Oseyi, a former GUS contender in April 2013, was killed on Sunday morning.

“I hope I survive this shock. A lady that we have been friends here for over 2 years chat me this morning that she will like to worship at my church today, of course I was very happy because we have never met and I was really excited.

“I told her unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to see her but she can go to the church. So, I dropped our church address. She in turn dropped her number for me to call her when I’m done because I will be busy.

“I later called her to ask if she did attend as planned. She said, Tosin something happened immediately she dropped her number. That she heard a knock of her flat’s door. The person was requesting to know the owner of a car parked outside which he claimed was blocking the route.

“She said she was reluctant to reply until she was apprehended by a gun by one of them, pushing her out. She was helpless and had to point upstairs out of fear. That was how they followed the stairs and shot Hector. And, he couldn’t survive it.
