Pakistan brings back the World XI T-20 cricket series in Pakistan
LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized World XI T-20 cricket series in Pakistan after 2009, when there was an attack on Sri-Lankan Cricketer’s bus, although all were save at that time.
It is stated that the current government of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) ‘s efforts brought series back to the country by improving the security of the country.
In an interview on September 12, 2017 Chairman Cricket Board Shashank Manohar said, “This a good day for cricket as the PCB hosts a World XI in Lahore for three T-20 International games.
“It has been long and tough journey as PCB, Pakistani players and fans have been starved of the opportunity to stage, play and watch international cricket in their own country.”
“the ability of Pakistan to play international cricket at home is crucial to long-term health of the game in Pakistan and one of the main reasons why the ICC established the Pakistan Task Force under the leadership of Giles Clarke to explore in partnership with the PCB,” Manohar stated, “How we can get International Cricket back to Pakistan safely.”
Furthermore, government of Pakistan welcome all the players in the country and ensured their security.
