Pulua Ujong: A dead body of 25 years old youth had been sent for the postmortem on September 30th, 2017, which was found floating in a Sengkang river on Friday.
Senior Police Officer told, “On Friday morning, I was on my usual duty, I saw a body floating in water near Sengkang Riverside Park.”
“I immediately called an ambulance.
“Doctors examined the dead body and there were no evidences of drowning, its murder case.
“I sent body for postmortem today from police custody.”
The police officer uploaded pictures of dead body on social media and also gave it to television stations in order to find his relatives.
It is stated that police considered it as unnatural death nearly 6:47 a.m.
The body was in the sack, there was no sign of swimming or drowning.
It has been assumed that someone killed him and threw him in the river and pronounced dead by paramedics at scene.
The witness Elsie Soh told The Straits Times that her husband saw few police officers by the area.
Police has covered a large area for investigation covering cycling, jogging track across the canal from Sengkang Riverside Park, near Sengkang Sports Centre.
