Pakistan sets to launch Remote Sensing Satellite

Islamabad: Pakistani astronomers had been preparing Remote Sensing Satellite since 2015; SUPARCO Director confirmed to state official News Channel Pakistan Television that Pakistan set to launch Remote Sensing Satellite.

It has been told that Pakistan would going to spend the sum of $7.5 billion to make its place into space technology. The budget had been passed from the parliament.

Director said, “We are expecting to send the new satellite in space by late 2017.”

“The head base of this satellite program to be set up in Punjab’s capital city Lahore while the sub officers will be functioned in Karachi, Sui, and Muzaffarabad,” he added, “The new project will get function in this financial year 2017.”

The neighboring countries like China, India left Pakistan far behind in quantity of satellites launched by them.

No doubt, Pakistan is advanced in military equipment and for that sake that satellite would be used to achieve communication to monitor and achieve defense and military targets.

Furthermore, “This  satellite will help to assist in distribution of water among five provinces under 1991 water distribution accord,” Chairman SUPARCO said.
