Nearly 69 people killed in two separate mosques in Afghanistan

Kabul: On October 21st 2017, nearly 69 people were killed and several injured in two mosques attacks (of different sectors), according to states news official channel, the building completely collapsed with the ground.

A suicide attacker entered the Shia Muslim mosque with a gun, first he opened the fire and later he killed himself with explosive that led to the death of nearly 39 people but later the death toll rose up to 69.

In another attack in Ghor Province of Afghanistan on Sunni Muslim mosque, nearly 29 were killed and several injured.

According to some of official sources, Muslim Terrorists claimed one attack on Shia Muslim mosque in the west of Kabul named as Imam Zaman Mosque but failed to provide any evidence. Additionally, they also claimed that 176 deaths were caused by them across the country.

Witnesses told that the man entered the mosque at the time of Fajar Salah but during the prayer he detonated his explosives on October 21st, 2017.

On Friday October 20th, 2017 another attacker entered Sunni Muslim mosque and opened fire when Muslims were gathered for prayer.

Afghan Interior Minister said, “Investigators are working at the scene to determine the nature of explosion,

“In the attack on Sunni Muslim mosque pro-government militia commander also died.

“Number of casualties is likely to rise. Dozens were injured.”

Furthermore, Afghanistan had seen a spate of suicide attacks and bombings in recent months.
