Coronavirus: LVMH makes sanitizers for hospitals
Owner of Louis Vuitton has pledged his contribution towards the containment of coronavirus by making hand sanitizers to stave off the shortage across France as the disease excavates.
The French luxury goods group which has brands that include Loius Vuitton, Moet and Henessy announced that the disinfectant gel will be made from the production lines of its perfume and gels and make it all available in hospitals free of charge.
“These gels will be delivered free of charge to the health authorities, in particular the 39 public hospitals in Paris.
“LVMH will continue to honor this commitment for as long as necessary, in connection with the French health authorities,” LVMH said in a statement.
The company hopes to produce, as from today, 12 tonnes of the sanitizer this week , instead of the usual Chrisian Dior, Guerlain and Givenchy fragrances and cosmetics made at its three French sites
