Nigeria bans citizens of UN P5+1 countries, others
Apart from Russia, the Nigerian government has placed a travel ban on travelers from the UN Security Council’s permanent member states.
This was announced on Wednesday March 18th, 2020 after news of the fifth case for coronavirus was confirmed.
The travel restriction was placed on countries that have recorded over one thousand cases.
These countries include Switzerland, China, Iran, Italy, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Norway, United States of America, United Kingdom and Netherlands.
The government said the travel restriction will take effect from Friday, 20th of March and would last for four weeks and may be subject to review.
The government has also announced temporary suspension of all visas issued to nationals from these countries.
