Covid 19: Saudi extends curfew indefinitely
King Salman, the custodian of the two holy mosques in Saudi Arabia, has announced the extension of the curfew earlier imposed on the kingdom till further notice.
The 21-day curfew which expired Saturday midnight began on March 23.
According to the king, the extension is aimed at ensuring that the spread of the virus would be placed under full control.
“The Ministry of the Interior is calling upon everyone to follow the royal order for their health and safety.
“At the same time, let’s comply with all precautionary measures previously announced in a number of cities, governorate and residential neighborhoods, and prevent movement between the thirteen regions of the Kingdom,” an official source at the Ministry of interior said,
Saudi Arabia’s ministry of health disclosed that the number of cases had reached 3,651, among which 685 have been treated and 47 dead.
