Tornadoes shatter southern US states

Not less than six people have died from the tornadoes and flooding across many southern US states.

The tornadoes which affected Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi, ruined a number of homes with the state’s official social media account initially reporting only minor injuries.

The National Weather Service said the thunderstorms likely occurred Sunday night into Monday.

“Strong tornadoes, widespread damaging winds, and large hail are all possible,” MWS reported.

Three deaths have been confirmed in Mississippi, two in Lawrence and one in Walthall.

The vast majority of residents in the US are under stay-at-home orders.

Affected residents have been warned not to let the virus prevent them from seeking refuge from a tornado.
