COVID-19: A Call for Divine Intervention

0

Coronavirus, the global trending pandemic threatens the livelihoods of tens of thousands of people. Social, religious and economic activities are grounded. Knowledge of doctors and scientists have been grounded. This situation is a clear attestation that the only savior is our Creator.

It is no longer the survival of the fittest. Even the mighty ones are falling. Humanity is exposed to raw health hazards beyond human knowledge and experience.

Managers of the world’s health have been rendered helpless and powerless. They are at this moment disoriented. No cure has been found.

Where are the religious leaders? Where are the miracle makers who claim to converse directly with God? We are yet to hear from them. Why are they silent? Aren’t they God’s representatives? Perhaps they too are either locked down or isolated with their syrupy miracles!

Despite the various means of communication, it is shameful that the palmists, seers and priests could not notify the world of the coming of this pandemic. African and Asian Muslim can no longer consult sand or water to give us a cure. The scams are exposed. No human can hold the fort for God Almighty in His absence. In any case, God is omnipresent.
The pandemic has caged us all – the rich, the poor, the old, and the young are not spared.

Yes, like the day of judgement, we avoid each other but have nowhere to run to. God is great!

Coronavirus has shattered the world; millions of souls are affected. World’s economy totters, already on the verge of collapse. Deaths are cheaper than sand. It is everywhere. Over 1 million Americans have contracted the plague. Their best medical experts could not arrest the situation. Even the “tremendous” Donald Trump is confused! “I need to ask God for guidance…,” he said, while addressing the public on his plan to lift the lockdown, in order to save the dying American economy.

Even the dead feel the impacts of the global pandemic. You know why? No one remembers them in prayers. There has been a huge shift from prayer for the dead to prayer for survival.

Businesses are paralyzed. Millions are out of job. Millions have embarked on compulsory leave without pay until the end of the lockdown. The hopeful are becoming hopeless; the hopeless are becoming melancholic.
The whole world is twitchy. Livelihood is a complexity.

It seems the world’s powers have become powerless. The money and knowledge employed to build instruments of destruction: nuclear and atomic bombs have failed us; they are not capable of fighting the invisible Coronavirus. It’s really a pity!

God is great. He has proven to the world how powerful He is.

Those African and Asian leaders who often fly abroad for the best medical treatments are locked down. Yes, on the day of Judgement, no discrimination. There is nowhere to run to.

The only rescuer we’ve got today is the Almighty God. Only He can help. Let’s all run to Him, confess our sins and seek forgiveness. He is ever willing to listen to our confessions, and always ready to forgive us.

Muslims should utilize this Ramadan to get closer to Allah and pray to Him to get rid of this pandemic. Businesses need to reopen. Economy is yearning for revival. Hunger is threatening our livelihoods. We really need divine intervention!
