Madacasgar quits WHO, urges other African countries to follow suit
Madacasgar president, Andry Rajoelina on Friday 15th May 2020 called on Africa nations to quit World Health Organization saying that Europe lacks faith in Africa and they have bad intention towards the continent as World Health Organizations refuses to acknowledge Covid Organics, a cure for Covid-19 developed in Madacasgar.
The president claims that Europe thinks they have monopoly of intelligence and thus expect Africa as a continent to be dependent on Europe for everything including medicine production.
It is a known fact that as the coronavirus ravaged the world with no prospect of potential vaccine yet in sight to fight off the deadly virus.
Madagascar has become the first African nation to produce herbal medicine called Covid Organics made from Artemisia developed by the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research to treat Covi-19 patients.
Since the production and endorsement of the herbal medicine by the Madagascar government, the herbal drink has been used to cure Covid-19 patients and significant numbers of recovery cases have been confirmed and recorded.
However, World Health Organization does not give its approval to the medicine on the ground that the medicine did not undergo normal scientific clinical trials.
The Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina has slammed the body as a result for not acknowledging the efficacy of the drug.
Although, Matshidiso Moeti, regional director of WHO office in Africa said at a meeting on Thursday that the body is looking into working with Madagascar as regards the herbal drink.
”We are in touch with the government of Madagascar,” Moeti said.
Madagascar seems to lack confidence in WHO for initially refusing to acknowledge the effectiveness of Covid-19 drink as a cure for Covid-19.
As a result, the president has announced that his country Madagascar has ceased from being a member of the World health organization and urges other African countries to do the same.
“Europe created organization with the desire for Africans to remain dependent on them. Africa has found a medicine against coronavirus, but Europe think they have monopoly of intelligence as such they are refusing to acknowledge it,” Andry Rajoelina said.
