Renowned martial arts master Soke Ali Abdul-Karim has passed away today May 4, 2023 after battling bone marrow cancer.

In a tragic turn of events, the martial arts world mourns the loss of the legendary Soke Ali Abdul-Karim, who passed away today after a valiant battle with bone marrow cancer.

The 72-year-old grandmaster, known for his exceptional skills and unwavering dedication, inspired generations with his profound contributions to the martial arts community.

Prior to his death, Sōke Ali Abdul-Karim was nominated for the Expo 17 & Masters of Martial Arts Hall of Fame event scheduled to be held on June 10, 2023 at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City.

Soke Ali Abdul-Karim dedicated his life to the mastery and promotion of traditional martial arts, garnering immense respect and admiration throughout his illustrious career.

His expertise encompassed a wide range of disciplines, and he touched the lives of countless students who sought his wisdom and guidance.

Janazah procession arrangement

According to statement issued by Janazah Community Services, signed Chaplain Umair Ahmed (Ibn Turab), the Janazah prayer has been scheduled for 1pm, Saturday, May 6, at Masjid At-Taqwa Brooklyn, 1266 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11216.

The burial follows by 3pm, same day at Forest Green Park Cemetery, 535 Texas Rd, New Jersey 07751.
