Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ recent assault on the Jabalia refugee camp within the besieged Gaza Strip. This condemnable act of aggression resulted in the tragic loss of nearly 100 innocent Palestinian lives, with many more sustaining injuries.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Tuesday, expressing its deep dismay and complete rejection of the repeated targeting of civilian-packed areas by Israeli forces, all while flouting international laws and humanitarian norms. The statement, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency, underscored the backdrop of the international community’s inability to exert sufficient pressure on the Israeli government to agree to an immediate ceasefire and a humanitarian truce. This call for peace aligns with the recent United Nations General Assembly resolution, which garnered broad international support.

The Kingdom reiterated that there can be no justification for the dire humanitarian conditions resulting from the ongoing escalation of hostilities. The preservation of innocent lives, the safeguarding of civilians, and the cessation of military actions stand as paramount priorities that brook no delay or interruption. The ministry warned that any failure to promptly adhere to a ceasefire and protect civilians will inevitably lead to a humanitarian catastrophe, for which both the Israeli occupation and the international community must be held accountable.

This resolute stance by Saudi Arabia underscores its commitment to advocating for peace, stability, and the well-being of the inhabitants of the region.
