Saudi, Somali Foreign Ministers seal cooperation pact

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in discussions with his Somali counterpart, Abshir Omar Jama, during the Arab foreign ministers’ preparatory meeting in Riyadh on Thursday. The focal point of their talks was the enhancement of bilateral relations across diverse domains and addressing matters of shared concern.

A pivotal outcome of the meeting was the formalization of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two nations. This accord, a testament to the governments’ shared commitment, aims to fortify existing collaborative bonds, bolster historical ties between the peoples, and foster growth across multiple sectors. The agreement reflects a joint aspiration for heightened development and prosperity.

In attendance were Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed Al-Khuraiji, and Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, Director General of the Foreign Minister’s Office, underscoring the significance of the deliberations. The pact signifies a proactive step towards realizing a future characterized by strengthened diplomatic ties and increased collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Somalia.
