The official statement emphasized that this choice reflects the collective awareness of leaders, underscoring the importance of unity in expressing a joint Arab-Islamic position on the unprecedented developments in Gaza and the Palestinian territories.

The statement further highlighted, “These developments necessitate Arab and Islamic unity in facing and containing their repercussions.” The leaders aim to present a unified stance, recognizing the gravity of the situation and the need for collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges arising from the crisis.
