Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid encourages foreign investment in the Iraqi market

In a recent diplomatic gathering at the Iraqi embassy in Azerbaijan, President Abdul Latif Rashid extended a welcoming call to foreign companies and entrepreneurs, urging them to invest in Iraq.

The President emphasized Iraq’s commitment to establishing balanced relations with various nations and outlined key priorities, including ensuring security and stability, providing essential services to the population, maintaining infrastructure, and elevating economic and investment prospects to enhance living standards.

Addressing a diverse audience comprising heads of diplomatic missions, ambassadors, Azerbaijani ministers, parliamentarians, and officials, President Rashid expressed optimism about the potential for Azerbaijani and European companies to contribute to the Iraqi market. He highlighted Iraq’s willingness to facilitate the investment process by providing necessary support and approving relevant legislation.

President Rashid also took the opportunity to affirm Iraq’s steadfast position on the Palestinian issue, condemning ongoing violations and aggression against Palestinians in Gaza.

Additionally, he expressed the country’s eagerness to strengthen ties with Azerbaijan, particularly in the realms of tourism, economics, and culture. The President’s remarks underscore Iraq’s dedication to fostering international collaboration and advancing its economic landscape.
