FBI investigates US ambassador murder site in Libya

USA intelligent service organization, FBI has started carrying out investigations at the site where an attack by Islamists in Benghazi, Libya, killed U.S.A ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

Libya’s security officer in Benghazi. Said Shafir said,’ Some officers from FBI have been here. They are investigating the murder of their official. We are cooperating with them.’

An online media has quoted Pentagon Press Secretary George Little saying on Thursday that USA government had provided logistics and security support to an FBI team investigating the attack in Benghazi

The FBI team reportedly visited Benghazi for a number of hours today morning and left, though the investigation is continuing.

Little said that FBI has been coordinating well with the State Department and the Libyan government on the Benghazi site investigation.

Little said, ‘The government has been aggressively looking into precisely what happened since September 11th when the attack occurred on our consulate in Benghazi. We’ve been actively chasing leads in various ways.’

The killing of the US ambassador in Libya came after a series of attacks on USA establishments in several Arab countries following the featuring of an anti -Islam film in the states.
