Vallone, Jr.

Assemblymember Simotas was touched by the honor.  “For the past twenty years under the leadership of Rose Marie Poveromo, the United Community Civic Association has been at the front lines advocating for the important quality of life issues affecting the residents of Western Queens,” Simotas said.  “I am incredibly honored to receive this award from the UCCA and look forward to our continued partnership to fight for a cleaner environment, quality schools and a vibrant community.”

“For many years, the United Community Civic Association has served as a springboard for the improvement of our diverse neighborhoods in Queens,” said Assemblymember Michael DenDekker.  “The UCCA works hard to enhance the quality of life for all residents, and I’m deeply honored to have been recognized by the UCCA with the receipt of this stunning award.  Thank you!”

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by the United Community Civic Association (UCCA) on the occasion of their 20th anniversary,” said NYC Council Member Daniel Dromm (D-Queens). “For 20 years, UCCA has not only played an important role in identifying the needs of the Western Queenscommunity but they have also been instrumental in helping us to address those needs. It is through this type of civic engagement, that we can ensure a better quality of life for generations to come.”
