Africa On My Mind

There are currently fifteen African countries involved in war, or are experiencing post-war conflict and tension. In West Africa, the countries include Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo. In East Africa, the countries include EritreaEthiopiaSomaliaSudanUganda. (ASN).

This partial list does not even include North Africa where many of its countries have been on fire. Africa, unlike any other continent, despite the global media’s total black out of its realities, should be the prime focal point of attention for conflict prevention and resolution. Yes, all conflicts deserve our attention, but none comes even close to Africa’s continued abandonment by the media and our Africa illiterate politicians.

For this reason, Peace December movement has committed all necessary resources for eradicating conflicts on the continent, despite foreseeable and formidable challenges in preventing profitable conflicts opportunities that have built and sustained many nations outside of Africa.

Through our upcoming ‘Africa Peacemakers Convention’ that is taking place in December this year, all internal and external stakeholders would be involved for this noble and long overdue objective. #WeRefuseToYieldToEvil
