Dear friends and peacemakers:
We are writing this emergency appeal for help in addressing one of the worst and most barbaric violation of human rights, values and dignity that is taking place in many parts of the world, particularly in Africa. These savageries are known in some places as ‘Jungle Justice’, whereby individuals accused of crimes (regardless of the type of crime) are violently attacked, beaten and killed by vigilantes without a due process within the rule of law. Unfortunately these beastly acts have destroyed so many lives (mostly the poor and the destitute) for so long with immunity while no nation on earth legally permits such heinous crimes.
Against the backdrop of this disregard for human values, Adopt-A-Friend Organization and its partners have decided to launch an international campaign on Thursday, December 1, 2016 during start of its Peace December movement by asking all governments and their law enforcement communities to immediately put an end to such inhumane acts.
