Jose Mourinho expresses sadness over Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s inability to play during Wednesday Europa finals.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has expressed his displeasure over the inability of Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to play during their final match on Wednesday, 24th of May, 2017.

He wished Ibrahimovic never had the knee injury he sustained in along the season. “I think it is so unfair what happened to him, sometimes, football is unfair, sometimes, life is unfair, I think it’s so unfair,” Mourinho lamented.

He expressed up optimism that the night would have been pretty more exciting if the striker was on field. He said: “This night would be an amazing night if he was on the pitch, in his hometown, in the stadium where his statue will be his first club when he left Sweden, his actual club in Manchester United, a season where he made an amazing impact, I am really really sorry Zlatan has not played this final.

Mourinho appreciated his contribution towards the victorious attainment of the club in the season. He acknowledged Ibrahimovic’s strength and commitment as a devoted player of the club and mentioned how other players who missed the match as a result of injuries like Ibrahimovic are believed to have added up to the victory and success story from outside.

“But he player. He played outside with crutches with the other guys – Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ashley young, Eric Brailly, they were playing behind the bench shouting, they were doing everything,” he declared.
