Khomeini Bukhari, Director of Peel Aston Global, has disclosed that Abuja, Lagos, Ogun and State of Osun will play host to World Boxing heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, as he visits home country in August. He revealed this as plans underway by the committee in charge of the Champion’s tour to Nigeria.

During the August visit, the heavyweight champion will pay courtesy calls to the Presidency, governors of (Lagos and Ogun) state and some royal fathers. The Director of the tour, Khomeini Bukhari, said the visit of Joshua is part of the champion’s duty in giving back to the society.

“This event is part of his (Joshua’s) social corporate responsibility and duty to give back to Nigeria, where he is the son of the soil.

“Part of the tour will be to visit the Presidency, some state governors, as well as pay his respect to royal fathers.”

Bukhari added in details that the homecoming will also facilitate Joshua’s attendance of a charity boxing match, tagged: “Inspire Nigeria 2017”. He explained that the event will avail Nigerians a talk session with the world champion. While describing Joshua as the talk of town, he noted that the August charity match will hold in two different places so as to accommodate a larger audience.

“I have secured the endorsement and support of several notable people in Nigeria and I’m very positive that this event will be, by far, the biggest event in Nigeria in a very long time.

“We are working very hard on his trip, as he is the best sports personality right now as far as I am concerned; and thus deserves the best homecoming reception.”
