The Nigerian Super Eagles players are doing everything possible to stay fit ahead of their match against Cameroon in the road to making Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup. NFF is hopeful that their encounter with Cameroon will be a success, come August, 2017.

In ensuring a safe play, the NFF will be featuring Nigerian top football stars in the match. It is hoped that Musa, Moses and Mikel will be playing for Nigeria as professional expertise is greatly needed for the Nigerian team to excel. It is assumed that the stars must have recovered from the injuries and health issues.

Nigerian former Super Eagles manager, Adegboye Onigbinde, stated while attributing Nigeria’s loss to Bafana Bafana, in the last match, to lack of experienced players on the pitch. He therefore mentioned that all that will make the difference in the coming match is getting Mikel and Moses to play.

“Nigeria’s loss to South Africa was due to the absence of Mikel and Moses. I am not saying other players are not good enough to play for the national team, but the experience, the inspiration and leadership qualities of Mikel and Moses would have made the great difference.

“I noticed we lost due to lack of experienced players who can create chances with ease. I believe both Mikel and Moses can save Rohr’s job if they are available in the next match. “I am confident that the Super Eagles will beat Cameroon, at least in the first fixture.”

The former coach however warms Rohr not to toy with plans and ensuring fielding players that will deliver. He noted that the country needs “hungry” and adventurous players who will fight hard to lead the team to success.

“Rohr will certainly get more pressure should he lose his next game against Cameroon. I only pray he snubs inexperienced players who claim to ply their trade in Europe. He needs the hungry and adventurous players who can take on any opposition, especially a team that is very physical like Cameroon.”
