Oil Tanker fireball kills over 178 innocent people in Pakistan

A burst tyre apparently caused the speedily fuel oil tanker to overturn a sharp bend on a high near and burnt more than 30 cars with the fire ball caused by the lit of cigarette in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

The disaster was only of the several deadly incidents happened on the holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr. The whole Pakistan turned gloomy one day prior to Eid celebrations.

Government officials and rescue officers said, “More than 178 people were burnt to die and 128 people were injured in the explosion, which came as people gathered to collect the leaking fuel after the tanker overturned on Sunday.”

On Sunday 25th June 2017, a spokesman of rescue services said, “Someone is believed to have lit a cigarette.”

Provincial Spokesman Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan said, “Rehabilitation and treatment of the victims is our top priority.”

Death toll has been increased with every minute. Hospitals arranged DNA testing to identify the many bodies that were charred without recognition. Nearly 20 children were among them.

Dr. Nahid Ahmed at the Nishtar Hospital Multan said, “The death toll is steadily rising up to 178 on Monday. Hospital faculty is trying their best to save their lives but the people are fully burnt.”

According to some government officials, many of victims were transferred to Lahore and Karachi for treatment through special flight.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif flew back from his overseas trip to visit injured. He spent time with those who are injured. He said, “I cannot express my grief. My heart is weeping.”

In addition to that PM took a serious notice of carelessness of highway police which was failed to disperse the crowd.

Chief Minister of Punjab announced 20, 20 lacs to the victimized families and 10 lacs for each injured.

Dozens of relatives were standing outside the hospital and waiting for their loved ones to come safely out from the hospital. Every single eye of Pakistan is full of tears.
