Father Fidelis Mukonori, the Catholic priest that mediated and negotiated the exit of the former Zimbabwe head of state, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, says Grace Mugabe has no future once her husband dies.

The priest is repeatedly reported as saying that Grace Mugabe is solely responsible for the downfall of her husband, due to her extreme greed for power. Therefore, the priest puts all the blame on the former First Lady.

According to the reports, the priest said he did not believe that Grace has a future once Robert Mugabe, her husband is gone.

‘I am sure that people would do justice to her, but her future is very dark,’ said the priest.

Father Mukonori said that the factional battles that led to the firing of Emmerson Mnangagwa so that Grace would succeed Robert Mugabe, were definitely planned by Grace Mugabe but unfortunately ‘broke the camel’s back’.

‘The problem,’ he said, ‘was political debauchery… political division… slicing each other’s character… trying to position each other for power.’

According to the observers, the main reason Grace Mugabe wanted to succeed her husband, was because she knew no body would stand to support, protect or defend her once her husband was gone.

Robert Mugabe is currently in the Far East and underwent a medical check-up on Friday. However, his wife, Grace Mugabe was not by his side when he left the hospital – sources show.
