Riyadh: Saudi government accused Iran of supplying the weapons to Yemen. According to some of the officials, a missile (which is shot down by Saudi’s military on Tuesday) that hit Saudi capital Riyadh on December 20, 2017 was supplied by Iran to use against Saudi Arabia.

Reports were presented to favour the statement was made by UN ambassador Nikki Haley.

Miss. Haley said, “A missile fired from Yemen at the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh, bears the hallmarks of a weapon provided by Iran,” she added, “Iran’s actions threatened to drag the world deeper into a broadening regional conflict.

She said, “The missile bears all the hallmarks of previous attacks using Iranian-provided weapons.

“We must all act cooperatively to expose the crimes of the Tehran regime and do whatever is needed to make sure they get the message. If we do not, then Iran will bring the world deeper into a broadening regional conflict.”

According to State Official News Channel of Iran, the Defense Minister of Iran strongly condemned the statement made by UN ambassador who tried to ignite the bi-lateral diplomatic ties cut between two states worse than before.

He said, “We are not involved in such kinds of unethical and demoralized activities.”

The rebels’ TV in Yemen called The Houthis’ Al Masirah TV reported,“A Burkan H2 ballistic missile had been targeted at a royal palace in Riyadh.”

Al Masirah’s updated their website by clarifying that the launch was in response to the heinous crimes committed by the US-Saudi aggression against the people of Yemen.

It had been mentioned in that statement, “The missile has targeted a meeting of the leadership of the Saudi regime in al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh during which Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is expected to discuss the kingdom’s annual budget.”

However, there were no reports of any damage.

Additionally, the civil war had been started among two states since 2015 which results in the large number of causalities in Yemen and still more than 100 innocent people were dying every day.

UN reported, “More than 8,670 people have been killed and 49,960 injured since the coalition intervened in Yemen’s war.

“The fighting and the coalition blockade have also left 20.7 million people in need of humanitarian aid, created the world’s largest food security emergency and led to a cholera outbreak that is thought to have killed 2,219 people since April.”

Further, Miss. Haley suggested a list of measures the council could take against Tehran, but Russia didn’t sign and support US statement due to Iran friendly relations with them.
