Turkey warns citizens traveling to USA

Ankara: A tension recently rose between United States and Turkey as Turkish Foreign Ministry warned the citizens to reschedule travel plans to the US for security reasons.

The statement had been released on January 12th, 2017.

Foreign Ministry stated, “It has been observed that there is recent increase in terrorist and violent attacks in the US. There is a risk of terrorist attacks as arbitrary arrests in Turkey’s Western ally.

“Attacks by the vehicle being driven on the crowds, in addition to bomb and gun attacks, are likely to continue to target city centres, cultural events, subway stations, state buildings, places of warship and school campuses.”

He added by mentioning recent incidents including attacks at Ohio University’s campus, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport, Dar Al-Farooq Mosque in Minnessota and a church in Texas.

However, US announced a new advisory on Wednesday that led to security risks from Turkey along with Sudan, Pakistan and Guatemala and tensions had been risen among the States with America.

Furthermore, Turkey summoned US diplomat Philip Kosnett over Washington’s support for Syrian Kurdish fighters and additionally concerned with the US embassy employee who allegedly had information on American involvement in the 2016 failed coup attempt.
