Ukrainian plane crash: US intelligence reports implicate Iran

U.S. intelligence reports have allegedly claimed that Ukrainian jetliner was shot down by Iran.

It was reported that the passenger plane was shot in the hours after the Iranian missile attack on U.S. targets earlier this week.

The Ukrainian International Airlines plane crashed Wednesday soon after takeoff from Tehran’s airport, killing all 176 people on board.
U.S. intelligence detected two surface-to-air missile launches, which happened shortly before the plane exploded.

A source who was at the briefing on the intelligence reports on Thursday said it appeared missile components were found near the crash site, stressing that the plane might have been mistakenly targeted.

When asked on Thursday morning about the crash, President Trump said, “I had my suspicions. I don’t want to say that because other people have their suspicions also.”

“It’s a tragic thing when I see that,” “It’s a tragic thing, but somebody could have made a mistake on the other side,” he noted.

“It was flying in a pretty rough neighborhood, and somebody could have made a mistake. Some people say it was mechanical. I personally don’t think that’s even a question,” he added.
