Khalib Nurmagomedov, the Russian mixed martial arts fighter and UFC lightweight champion, has turned down the Saudi’s offer of $100 million to fight Irish Conor McGregor in the Kingdom.

Nurmagomedov, who described the offer irrational, demanded to know why he would need such an offer to beat up Conor after he had sarcastically referred to him as “idiot”.

“Why do I need that kind of money?” Nurmagomedov asked.

He further said that Saudi Arabia should instead give the money to better organizations, to help the needy or use it for charity if they don’t know what to do with the money.

“Giving me $100 million to beat up that idiot again? I don’t think that’s rational,” he added.

Confirming the offer, Nurmagmedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, said that some people have met with Nurmagmedov and are willing to pay him $100 million to fight Conor McGregor in Saudi Arabia.

“I know some people in Saudi Arabia, they met with me, they want to pay $100 million to Khabib to fight Conor in Saudi Arabia,” he disclosed.

Nurmagomedov specifically stated that he was not interested in confronting McGregor in the current period, and that his main focus now is a serious fight ahead of him in which he would be confronting Ferguson. The fight is scheduled to hold on April 18 in the Barclays.
