The Australian state of New South Wales has successfully extinguished the bushfires ravaging its forest.
According to the area’s fire service, the state was free for the first time in more than 240 days.
About 28 people died and over 3,000 homes destroyed in the terrible fire incident that ravaged New South Wales.
It was a devastating experience as about a billion animals were affected in the inferno.
“All of the fires in New South Wales had been declared contained for the first time this season,” New South Wales Rural Fire Service said in a statement
“Now, all bushfires in the state have been extinguished,” the statement added.
For the first time since early July 2019, there is currently no active Bush fires.
That’s more than 240 days of fire activity for the state.
