Covid-19: World Bank donates $6million to Palestine
World Bank has donated a grant worth $5.8 million to the Palestinian authorities as a support towards the fight against coronavirus.
In a statement released, World Bank stated that the grant was aimed at enabling the Palestinian Authorities meet urgent health needs for the fight against the pandemic.
David Malpass, President of World Bank group disclosed that “The World Bank Group is taking broad, fast action to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and we already have health response operations moving forward in over 65 countries.”
“This grant is aimed at slowing down and limiting the spread of coronavirus, as well as improving the health conditions of those who have already contracted the virus,” he added.
Last week, World Bank offered an $800,000 grant for the Palestinian Authorities to fund the same efforts.
