Moise Kean violates social distancing order, risks £160,000 fine

Everton has disclosed move to fine Moise Kean for ignoring social distancing order.

Kean, 20, was seen in a video having a party with his friends, disrespecting the lockdown restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.

Given the Everton’s commitment to ensuring that players adhere strictly to the social distancing directives, Kean is more likely to face a fierce disciplinary action as soon as the club completes its investigation.

Kean could be asked to pay a fine of about £160,000 which amounts to his two weeks’ wages. He could as well be asked to write an apology to the club.

The club said it was appalled to learn of Kean’s action which it said was unacceptable and strongly condemned.

“Everton Football Club was appalled to learn of an incident in which a first team player ignored Government guidance and club policy in relation to the coronavirus crisis.

“The club has strongly expressed its disappointment to the player and made it clear that such actions are completely unacceptable,” the statement reads.

The club further emphasized its commitment to observing government directives and how it regularly communicates same to all its staff members.

“Everton has regularly stressed the importance of following all the Government guidelines, including rules and advice for inside and outside of the home through a series of official communications to all staff members, including players.

“The amazing people in the NHS deserve the utmost respect for their hard work and sacrifice. The best way to show them respect is by doing everything we can to protect them,” the statement adds.
Moise Bioty Kean is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Everton and the Italy national team. He started his career with Juventus in 2016, winning a domestic double in his first season with the club.
