French President Emmanuel Macron has disclosed plan to attend a face-to-face G7 meeting of world leaders which would be hosted by the Republican President, Donald Trump, if the current health condition allows.

This announcement came after President Trump on Wednesday announced that he might reverse his earlier decision to hold the June G7 summit by teleconference instead of face-to-face that was earlier suggested due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement by a French presidential official, it was disclosed that Macron is “willing to go to Camp David if the health conditions allow,” saying that the G7 is a major meeting.

Meanwhile in March, President Trump had canceled the face-to-face summit scheduled for June and shifted the meeting to a teleconference due to the Coronavirus pandemic which has necessitated shutting down international travel and other services in the US.

Stating the reason why he has chosen to now hold the G7 meeting physically, Mr. Trump said, “America is Transitioning back to Greatness.”

“Now that our Country is “Transitioning back to Greatness”, I am considering rescheduling the G-7, on the same or similar date, in Washington, D.C., at the legendary Camp David. The other members are also beginning their COMEBACK. It would be a great sign to all – normalization!” Mr. Trump tweeted on Wednesday May 20.
