Saudi partners WEF to organize 4th industrial revolution

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in cooperation with the World Economic Forum (WEF), has disclosed plan to organize the first Saudi forum for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

According to a report on Tuesday July 27, 2021, the forum will kick off in Riyadh on Wednesday July 28, 2021, with the participation of several ministers, officials, and local and international speakers.

“The two-day international event will discuss the impact of emerging technologies on the future of transportation, building healthcare systems capable of facing crises, clean energy transitions, establishing smart cities in the future, restoring the ecosystem, and the future of finance,” the report says.

The forum is an extension of the support and care for development and innovation system in Saudi Arabia by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

Saudi Arabia’s organization of this international forum reflects the Crown Prince’s interest in the fields of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence and building future cities according to environment-friendly clear energy technologies and harnessing them to realize the Sustainable Development Goals.

The forum highlights the role of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the WEF-affiliated network of the Fourth Industrial Revolution centers, with the aim of harnessing Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, self-driving cars, drones, the Internet of Things, and smart cities for the benefit of all societies.
