Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has congratulated the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for winning last Saturday’s election.
In its congratulatory message, the Muslim body reaffirmed hope in the administration of Bola Tinubu.
“We rallied around you with our votes and our votes counted,” MUSWEN said.
The body maintained that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the first Yorùbá Muslim to attain such height.
“This is the first time MUSWEN would openly identify with and canvass our members to unanimously vote for a particular candidate in an election.
“We unanimously endorsed you and Allah crowned it with this huge success. Only Allah is worthy of praise,” it stated.
It added, “It has pleased Allah to put you in the saddle today.”
MUSWEN assured Nigerians that Asiwaju will deploy his widely acknowledged experience and expertise to take Nigeria to a new level.
“We pray that Almighty Allah continue to guide your way and thoughts. May He ease the task of
governance for you and grant you long life in very sound health,” it concluded.
