Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has expressed his willingness to enhance diplomatic relations with Egypt.
He made this known during a meeting with Oman’s Sultan, according Iranian state media on Monday.
Historically, the relationship between Egypt and Iran has been characterized by tension, although the two nations have maintained diplomatic channels.
Khamenei’s remarks align with the current trend in the Middle East, where countries like Egypt are actively pursuing measures to alleviate regional tensions.
In March, Saudi Arabia and Iran, through a China-mediated agreement, successfully restored diplomatic ties, indicating a positive shift in the geopolitical landscape.
