Civil Defense issues cautionary aAdvisory as rainfall predicted across multiple regions in Saudi Arabia

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a precautionary warning to residents of Saudi Arabia as a series of rain showers are forecasted to impact several areas within the Kingdom. The upcoming weather pattern is expected to bring moderate to heavy rain to various regions from Sunday until Thursday.

“Residents in regions including Makkah, Taif, Maysaan, Adham, Al Ardiyat, Al Kamil, Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, Najran, and Madinah are advised to be vigilant due to the potential for torrential rain. Additionally, these areas are likely to experience hail and strong winds, which may lead to dust storms”.

“The Makkah region, comprising Al Jumum, Bahrah, Al Qunfudhah, Al Lith, Al Muwayh, Al Khurma, Ranyah, and Turbah, can expect light to moderate rain alongside active downward winds causing dust”.

“Meanwhile, the Riyadh region, encompassing Afif, Al Duwadimi, Al Quwaiiyah, Ar Rayn, Az Zulfi, Al Majma’ah, Al Ghat, Shaqra, Thadiq, Huraymila, and Rumah, will experience light rain and accompanying dusty winds. This weather pattern also extends to areas such as Jeddah, Khulais, Rabigh, Al-Qassim, Madinah, and Tabuk”.

“The Civil Defense authorities have stressed the importance of avoiding locations prone to torrential rain and refraining from swimming in such areas due to the inherent dangers. To stay informed and updated, residents are strongly urged to follow instructions provided through official social media accounts of the Civil Defense”.
