Saudi Arabia is poised to introduce esteemed Italian coach Roberto Mancini as the newly appointed head of the Saudi national football team. This revelation is set to take place during a press conference scheduled for Monday.

Insider sources from Italy have revealed that the announcement will occur in Riyadh, with the press conference set to convene at 5:00 p.m. local time. The event will be hosted at one of the city’s prominent hotels, where Yasser Al-Misehal, the president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), is expected to officially declare the appointment.

Esteemed Italian sports newspaper *La Gazzetta dello Sport* has corroborated these details, highlighting that Mancini has formally signed a four-year contract worth €25 million annually. He will be accompanied by a well-assembled coaching team comprising ten skilled individuals.

The Saudi national football team is gearing up for participation in two friendly matches during the upcoming international break, set to take place next month in Newcastle. The selected venue is none other than the English city of Newcastle, which is home to a football club competing in the prestigious English Premier League.

These friendly matches, against Costa Rica and South Korea, hold immense significance as they serve as pivotal preparatory trials for the Green Falcons. These encounters come just before the commencement of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers, which are slated to kick off in November. Subsequently, the team is also poised to compete in the Asian Cup finals, scheduled to be held in Qatar at the start of the upcoming year.
