The crew of a Tornado fighter jet emerged unscathed following a harrowing crash during a routine training session in Dhahran’s Eastern Province.

According to Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, the ill-fated Tornado aircraft, a vital asset of the Royal Saudi Air Force, tragically crashed on Monday at 3:44 pm. The crash occurred within the confines of the training zone at King Abdulaziz Air Base, a known hub for military training operations.

Brig. Gen. Al-Maliki went on to affirm, “Thanks be to God,” that all crew members survived the crash, with their lives intact, attributed to their swift utilization of chair parachutes. Remarkably, the crash inflicted no injuries or damages upon the ground, ensuring the safety of those on the earth below.

In response to this alarming incident, authorities have promptly convened a dedicated committee to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the underlying causes of this unfortunate event. The Saudi Press Agency reported that the inquiry aims to ascertain the exact circumstances leading up to the crash and shed light on the factors contributing to this incident.
